Before creating the MyClub website format and design, an extensive market research was commissioned to discuss with a broad range of Sporting Clubs as to their needs.

Results showed that a template based format, which was created and updated by the Club, would only result in all Clubs having an identical look to their websites. This would not allow Clubs to have the versatility needed to have an input into their own look and style.

Another very important point that was strongly made was that Clubs were not confident as to their ability long term to maintain and update daily their website. It was felt that even if they had an enthusiastic person willing to take on this time consuming job at the beginning, the realistic fact was that may not be practical always. Clubs felt that it was hard enough already to maintain a functional committee to administer the essential running of their Sports Club.

It was then decided that what the Clubs required was a website format that had the versatility for individual Clubs needs, and one that was created and maintained daily on behalf of the Clubs.

MyClub instructed Image Web & Media Ltd to create two purpose designed website formats, with both accommodating the Clubs nominated needs. They are a MAXI and a MULTI format that caters for large to medium sized Sporting Clubs.

MAXI websites comprise approximately 60 pages plus an additional individual web page for each of the Club teams. Each of these pages can be updated as required by Image Web & Media Design Ltd. with news, team match reports and Club updates.

MULTI websites are the same in design and layout comprising up to 20 pages. Each of these pages can be updated as required by Image Web & Media Design Ltd. with news, team match reports and Club updates.

Both of the MAXI and MULTI versions have the MyClub feature of the Trade & Business Directory listing Trades and Services. As well as being listed on the Club sports website they are also multi listed on all other websites created by MyClub throughout New Zealand.

This is a major income earning benefit to all sports clubs.
